--July 3, 2018.

There are many churches in the MRC du Haut-Saint-François that are an important part of our heritage. The Bury Historical and Heritage Society wants to recognize their contribution to our community. On Sunday, July 15, 2018, thirteen churches in the Haut-Saint-François will be open to the general public, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Activities will be organized in each of the churches and offer to the public the chance to see the interior of the churches, and to participate in activities.

Each community will ring the bells of the churches for one minute at 10:00 AM, 12:00 AM, and 3:00 PM. The Maison de la culture John Henry Pope invites you to the launch of the John Henry Pope Exhibition at St. Peter's Church in Cookshire at 12:00 AM, with a Mini-concert at 11:30 AM.

An ecumenical celebration will be presented at St. Paul's Church in Bury at 4:00 PM with many Christian denominations and other religions. St. Raphael Church invites you to a Méchoui at the Bury Armoury Community Center from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (tickets on sale in some of the churches, or 819-872-3608).

Traditional music by Christian Nolet, his son Patrick and Gino Matte. Brochures are available in many locations in the Haut St. Francois including the churches. For information, call 819-872-3400. Supplementary info: brochure attached to email.
