--August 29, 2013.

As they have once or twice every year for the past few years now, organizers at the Colby-Curtis Museum in Stanstead are preparing for another bus excursion.

On Thursday, September 26, members and friends of the museum (as always, the public are welcome to sign up) will be heading to Montreal for a "cultural trip" to that city. The bus will depart from the museum (535 Dufferin, Stanstead) at 8 a.m. Included on the itinerary will be several well known attractions, including the Biodôme, in the Olympic Village; the newly built Planetarium (where the show "Continuum" will be shown in English); and the Botanical Gardens (to see Mosaicultures). At the end of the day, there will be a couple of pleasant hours to spend in Old Montreal, where the tour group will have free time to explore, shop and have supper.

Tickets for the excursion to Montreal are $105 per person, and are still available. They include bus fare, entrance to all of the attractions, and taxes -- but neither lunch nor supper. The deadline to register is September 6. For more information, contact the museum at (819) 876-7322 or info@colbycurtis.ca.
