There are six churches in the Municipality of Bury that are an important part of the town's heritage and the Bury Historical and Heritage Society wants to recognize their contribution to the community.

On Sunday, July 30, the churches in the Municipality of Bury will be open to the general public, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Activities will be organised in each of the churches and will offer the public the chance to see the interior of the churches, and to participate in activities.

Each congregation will ring the church bells for a minute at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 3:30 p.m. and an ecumenical celebration will also be presented in St. Paul's Church at 4:00 p.m. with the Notre Dame Chorale from East Angus. St. Raphael Church presents a Méchoui with traditional music by Christian Nolet and Timi Turmeat at the Armoury Community Center from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at some of the churches, or by calling 819-872-3608. Brochures are available in many locations in the Haut St. Francois and Bury including the churches. For information, call 819-872-3400.
