Location:
Uplands, 9, rue Speid, Sherbrooke, Qc
Information:

In 2016, Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre, in partnership with the ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec, took on a project to document the tea tradition in the Eastern Townships.

For Townshippers, tea is much more than just a beverage. It’s a ritual that brings people together to take the time to socialize.

The exhibit includes 22 large panels installed in the wooded area of Uplands. The memories and tea stories of about 30 Townshippers are on display along with pictures of certain objects used locally for tea service as well as historical photographs drawn from the Eastern Townships Resource Centre and the Lennoxville-Ascot Historical and Museum Society.
